Gay Bar Scene Cut from “The Sign of Three”

If this is how they handled that scene (i.e. as a joke), I’m glad they cut it. Are we supposed to believe that a man who picks up on Jim from IT’s subcultural signals is baffled by a gay bar? I mean, not just overwhelmed by the heat and the music and the noise and being packed in too close with so many other people, but actually confused?
