fandomnumbergeneratorI got inspired to track down the photographer for the editorial of Sebastian Stan drinking beer in a bathroom.
They’re by Nino Munoz for the June/July 2009 issue of OUT magazine (finally found an original scan here)
So, first, I shouldn’t be surprised any more that the hottest pictures of men are intended for the male gaze.
Second, as a dedicated follower of fashion photography, there is a very specific retro-90s heroin chic aesthetic of the shower pictures. You can see how intentional the makeup and (terrible green fluorescent) lighting choices were by comparing it the other photos in the shoot, which were much more glamour or beefcake. Though, the shoot seems to be digital, and not actually cross-processed film, the way it would have been if it were actually from the 90s.
I know I have terrible taste, so yeah, these photos hit all my buttons, but I think it’s interesting that these are the photos of Sebastian Stan that keeping showing up on my dash. Like, this is the way that fangirls want to see Stan, as skinny, young, damaged, and vulnerable.
