Nov. 18th, 2014 03:46 pmI'm thinking of an episode of the Leonard Lopate show from about 10 years ago where Margaret Atwood was the guest for a recurring segment where artists came on and talked about their desert-island books, except in this case it was a snowed-in cabin and Atwood was amazing. She was like, well, I’d need a book on plumbing. And probably something on curing meat. And it was such a perfect dead pan take down of the whole idea of tastemakers and Lopate’s general air of self-satisfied bloviating.
